Evelynn Braun has been a part of the RCC family for the last 10 years; short a hiatus to become a mother and have two beautiful children with husband, Chef Chris Braun Chef de Cuisine of RauDZ Regional Table. You can’t get more family then that!

Evelynn’s career with the company began as an apprentice in 2009 working her way through the kitchen and up the RauDZ culinary ladder to Sous Chef and then on to Co-Chef de Cuisine. Throughout her apprenticeship she was the recipient of multiple scholarships through Les Dames D’Escoffier, which allowed her to complete her WSET Certification Level 3.   As well as, competed in multiple Provincial apprentice cooking competitions. When owners Rod Butters and Audrey Surrao decided to open the vastly popular and highly sought after bar, micro bar • bites in 2013, they installed Evelynn as their Chef de Cuisine.

Evelynn was selected to compete on not one but two Cooking Network Television Shows, Chopped Canada and Top Chef Canada, airing in 2014 catapulting her into the national arena of celebrity chefs at the age of 28.

Taking some time off to have two beautiful children, she returned to the kitchen working at Waterfront Café and Catering in 2017. She has since taken a step back from working as a Professional Culinarian and has rejoined RCC as Operations Assistant in the Spring of 2019.

Evelynn is very excited to be a part of the RCC family again and enjoys the challenges of her new role. She is thrilled to be a core part of The Okanagan Table team and cannot wait to share everything that it will offer with the community.
