Chef Rod Butters is Chef/Owner of four acclaimed restaurants RauDZ Regional Table, micro bar & bites, Terrafina at Hester Creek by RauDZ and Sunny’s Modern Diner all located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. The importance of Rod’s commitment to establishing regional BC and Canadian cuisine has earned him international respect. Long before it became ‘trendy’ to serve regional food, Rod has always been committed to “support local, buy local, eat and drink local”.

Before opening his own restaurants, Rod was the opening Chef de Cuisine for the world famous Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino. His innovative cuisine helped the Inn attain the Relais & Chateux designation in less than a year. He began his career at the legendary Scaramouche Restaurant before working with the Four Seasons Hotel group, Shangri La Hotels and was a senior member of the Chateau Whistler Resort opening team.

Rod is a member of The Canadian Culinary Federation and has earned the WCC designation recognizing international culinary excellence from the World Association of Chefs Societies. He  is a member of the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame and CCF Honour Society.

Rod’s first cookbook ‘The Okanagan Table: The Art of Everyday Home Cooking’ is a Canadian best-seller, Gourmand World Cookbook winner for Best Local Cookbook in Canada and captured silver for Best Regional Cookbook from Taste Canada.
