An Evening with Quails' Gate Estate Winery

Saturday, June 24

6:00 pm

A collaborative dinner with Quails’ Gate Estate Winery

Join us for a very special evening as we welcome Quails’ Gate Estate Winery to The Okanagan Table. We are very excited to welcome this third generation, Okanagan farming family to our family table.

This evening will be one for the memory books as Chef Rod Butters will be sharing the kitchen at The Okanagan Table with Chef Roger Sleiman, Director of Hospitality at Quails’ Gate.  Roger has been an integral member of the Quails’ Gate team for more than a decade primarily as Executive Chef and Director of Culinary. During his time, he re-focused the culinary program at Old Vines Restaurant based on the principle of fresh simplicity. His philosophy and commitment to ensuring that only the best local/regional ingredients are used are part of the winery’s vision for providing outstanding culinary guest experiences. He regularly and proudly showcases the best of the Okanagan with these objectives in mind.

This multi-course menu is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between two chefs, Chef Rod Butters and Chef Roger Sleiman who are passionate about local produce and celebrating the seasons of the Okanagan.

Wine pairings for the dinner are curated by The Okanagan Table co-owner Audrey Surrao featuring the award-winning wines of Quails’ Gate Estate Winery.  Audrey is certified by WSET – Level 3, an Internationally recognized wine and spirits certification authority using this extensive knowledge to create an enviable wine list for the evening.

Quails’ Gate Assistant Winemaker Rowan Stewart will be in attendance to share his knowledge of the wine and answer any questions you may have. Growing up in a winemaking family in British Columbia, Rowan Stewart started his career working in the Quails’ Gate vineyards in 2004. He studied Viticulture and Winemaking abroad at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology in New Zealand where he spent five years before travelling to California to work in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. He then spent three harvests on the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario, Canada before returning to the family business in 2020 where he now lends his winemaking skills to Quails’ Gate Estate Winery as Assistant Winemaker
